Distance Learning Overview

Under construction

Parents/Guardians and Students:

Welcome to Distance Learning!

In the event your student needs to be out for an extended period of time and needs to implement distance learning, we want a one-stop shop for resources for families to be able to access in the interim while the student is out of school. Distance Learning is different from Virtual Learning. Distance Learning is in the event a student needs to be out of the school from the face-to-face model to be at home for an extended period and will be returning back face-to-face to NES.

If you require a device please contact the school, and we will check one out to you. The student will need to bring the device back to school when he/she is able to return.

Contact: or 912-842-8320 if you need a device.

This year all students will be using Class LINK to access Educational Resources that are used in the classroom ie: I-ready, Schools PLP, and Google Resources ie: Google Meets, Email, Google Docs, and Google Drive. The information for how to access Class LINK  is on the right hand side of this page with username/ password information. If you have problems logging into Class LINK, please contact the students’ teacher or call the school to speak to our tech liaison Glen Anderson or Julie Brannen (Media Specialist)

On the left hand side of the page, there are marked grade levels with specific information needed for each classroom. Click on your grade level and find your teacher. Each teacher will have a link to visit their list of resources, google classroom information, and/or class website. The  email contact information is on the left hand side of the screen. In the event you have a question about your students classroom, please contact the teacher through email. Students are highly encouraged to complete their assignments during their absence, and teachers are there to support your student if you have questions or concerns about the work. Depending upon the situation, please allow the teacher 24 hours to respond to an email when the student is out.

We appreciate your willingness to continue education while your student is out for a period of time. We are here to support you in any way possible during this process.

Any concerns or questions about Distance Learning, please contact our Assistant Principal, Marla Sumner at or (912)-842-8322.

Thank you!
