    Meet Sora! Free Student Online Reading App. NES students have 24/7 access to audio & ebooks all year long. Our setup code has been updated to resaga. Students need to select First District RESA Shared Digital Collection as the school.

    Thanksgiving Canned Food Drive

    October 21-November 15, 2019

    Donation boxes are located in the classrooms and front office.  The class that collects the most items will receive a popcorn party and extra time on the jumpy house.

    Bulloch County Alcohol & Drug Council Survey         

    Our community partner, the Bulloch County Alcohol & Drug Council, is asking parents to complete this online survey. They are applying for a Drug-free Communities Grant for 2020 and need community feedback about the priorities they should address. Please consider participating. They are a key partner in our drug and alcohol prevention education programs for students.
     

    Red Ribbon Week

    Please encourage your child to participate in all of our activities and to take a stand against drugs!

    Monday, October 21- “Be all you can be drug-free! Give drugs the boot!” 

    Wear your camouflage and boots to school in support of Red Ribbon Week. 

    Tuesday, October 22- “Our Leaders don’t get tie-dyed up in drugs. They say PEACE OUT to drugs.”

    Wear your tie-dyed clothing and peace signs. 

    Wednesday, October 23- “LEADERS don’t let drugs MIX them up! 

    Wear mismatched clothing and crazy hair. 

    Thursday, October 24- “Staying drug-free is our SUPER-POWER! Real Leaders are drug-free!

    Wear your favorite superhero shirt, hat, and socks to school. 

    Friday, October 25- “Drop-kick Drugs! Stay Cool and Say No!”

    Dress like NES Ninjas. Wear your favorite NES shirt or Ninja clothing. NO WEAPONS allowed.

     

     

    Leader in Me


    Leader in MeNevils Elementary School is a Leader in Me school. Leader in Me has been implemented effectively and successfully at schools around the world to address the social and emotional learning needs of the whole child. Through the program we teach children to identify and celebrate the leader within themselves through direct teaching, practice, and application of the seven habits. The paradigms of The Leader in Me teach students and teachers lifelong leadership skills they will carry outside the walls of the school to help ensure success in future careers and to build positive relationships with others.

    7:15 am- Students may enter the building
    7:30 am - Students are dismissed to                              classrooms
    7:35 am - Breakfast ends
    7:50 am - Tardy bell rings
    2:10 pm - Students move to areas                                 for dismissal.
